KONEK is an early-stage company founded in November 2023 with a mission to provide personalized career and education guidance for young professionals, starting from Indonesia.
We help young people in their twenties navigate career development, transitions, and study preparation through a unique approach: connecting them with credible individuals and organizations while curating reliable, high-quality information. While today our focus is on building strong human connections, our long-term vision is to complement this with technology — enabling us to scale impact and extend access to many more people.
At KONEK, we believe everyone deserves equal access to quality opportunities, no matter their background. Our mission is to close the gap in inequality of access and empower young professionals to make informed decisions, grow their networks, and succeed in their careers — wherever they are, whoever they are.
In Indonesia, access to quality education and career opportunities is still highly unequal. Graduates from universities in Jakarta and its satellite cities (Jabodetabek) often enjoy better exposure, stronger networks, and smoother entry into corporate careers. In contrast, many graduates from outside Jabodetabek — especially outside Java — face significant challenges: from navigating corporate recruitment, to understanding how to upskill for competitive jobs, to even knowing the value of building professional networks.
This inequality continues as professionals progress in their careers. Mid-level professionals often struggle to switch industries, reposition themselves, or expand their networks beyond their immediate circles. As a result, many talented individuals remain limited in their career growth — not because of a lack of ability, but because of unequal access to information, networks, and opportunities.
KONEK was founded to close this gap. By creating a trusted bridge between individuals seeking guidance and professionals with relevant experience, we aim to ensure that career growth and educational opportunities are not reserved only for the privileged few, but accessible to all.
